Under the honorary presidency of Mr. Éric Bujold, Head of Customer Relations at National Bank, this 25th tournament and the evening that brought it to a close raised an unprecedented $1,743,827.44 for the event. This substantial sum will enable the CHUS Foundation to meet priority needs at Hôpital Fleurimont, Hôtel-Dieu and the Centre de recherche du CHUS, by acquiring cutting-edge equipments, supporting research and humanizing care.
Since the tournament's inception in 1998, Robert Carignan and Roger Héroux have brilliantly co-chaired the organizing committee, and for their many years of exceptional involvement, the CHUS Foundation paid tribute to them this evening.
"We make no secret of the fact that 25 years is a lot of work, but it's also a lot of generosity. We're lucky, we're surrounded by really generous people, and have been since the beginning".
they mentioned.
Over the years, the tournament has raised more than $25 million, and major investments have been made in numerous healthcare projects, including cardiology, oncology and the future Centre Mère-Enfant et Urgence (CMEU).
Today, 168 golfers enjoyed a perfect day on the greens of the Club de golf Venise, while 500 guests gathered at the Centre de foires de Sherbrooke for an evening of excitement, surprises and a Las Vegas-style ambience. This memorable day ended on a musical note with the excellent performance of pianoman: Christian Marc Gendron.
The CHUS Foundation would like to thank all participants, collaborators and event partners for their generosity once again this year.
