Donation in the Workplace

A workplace donation consists of an amount donated at employee’s discretion that is automatically deducted from pay after tax deductions.

This source deduction program allows employees in a business to donate to and support the mission of the CHUS Foundation.

Workplace giving — For businesses

By establishing a source deduction program for your employees, you are providing a simple way for your community to make a difference for the CHUS Foundation.

As a business, you also have the option to donate to a specific project or department.

The CHUS Foundation supports business in implementing and maintaining payroll deductions. Participation provides access to the following:

A toolkit for solicitation purposes
Involvement in the business’s social activities to enhance the CHUS Foundation’s visibility
Project monitoring supported by the organization
Personalized support and step-by-step guidance from the Foundation
Identification of the internal contacts in your business to be supported by the Foundation

Workplace giving — For employees

Participation in a source deduction program established by your employer is an excellent way to give to the CHUS Foundation while going easy on your budget.

This means of donation is tax deductible.

Note

Participation in this program is on a voluntary basis
You are free to stop contributing at any time
The annual total amount of your donation is displayed directly on your T4 and RL-1 slips at the end of the year

Ask your employer if there is a source deduction program and how you can contribute to it. If there is no program and you would like to suggest the idea, feel free to do so! The CHUS Foundation is available to provide all the support you need.
