Presented by Sports Experts from the Carrefour de l’Estrie, Équipe Bérubé, and Powerlace, the activity concluded on a very high note with the announcement that an amount of $200,000 would be allocated to this fund. Three donors attending the event, Yves Poisson, Richard Verreault, and Michel Laroche, generously decided to boost the amount raised from $97,106 to $200,000.

Invited for supper and the evening at the Les Enfants Terribles restaurant in Magog, guests enjoyed having a good time among men. The live auction enabled them to demonstrate their generosity towards this cause. The selling of unique lots such as VIP tickets for a Canadiens hockey game or a round of golf at the Memphrémagog private golf club, will enable the CHUS Foundation to support research and care related to pathologies that especially affect men.
“This year, profits from the event will help support the cardiology and urology sectors. We are fortunate, here in Sherbrooke, to have eminent researchers who play a direct role in scientific innovation and concrete improvements to the health care provided to us. Contributions to the men’s health fund enable these researchers and these physicians to better care for all men,” explained Martin Clermont, Executive Director of the CHUS Foundation.
The first Chemise blanche event, held in 2019, brought in $86,746. Through a corporate donation from Groupe Laroche, this amount was boosted by $100,000.
