In the end, the event, presented by Genesis Estrie in collaboration with Escapades Memphrémagog, raised an amount of $64,900 that will be allocated to the Fonds de l’Espérance. The event, which had been postponed due to the pandemic in 2020, was back in full force this year. Aboard the Grand Cru cruise ship yesterday, 170 women attended the 8th National Bank Private Banking 1859 Petite Robe Noire Event. A fashion show, gifts, a lip gloss bar and a draw: everything was done to thank them for supporting the cause.

The activity, which had been postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, returned strongly this year, welcoming participants in a glamorous ambience. With a fashion show, gifts, a gloss bar, and a draw, every effort was made to thank them for supporting the cause.
The amount raised through the generosity of these guests will help families of children cared for in pediatrics, neonatology, and pediatric psychiatry at the Fleurimont Hospital, who need financial assistance during this difficult period.
“The Fonds de l’Espérance truly makes a difference to families. It meets concrete needs enabling families to better cope with the difficult stage when their child is being cared for. For example, the fund may enable parents to rent a car to be able to drive their child to treatments, provide parents with hospital cafeteria meals when they spend long periods of time at the hospital, or arrange for support services for the other children in the family. We don’t always think of these needs, but they are very real. Easing the financial burden of families enables parents to focus their energies on their sick child’s recovery,” explained Martin Clermont, Executive Director of the CHUS Foundation.
