The auction

Accessible online on BYDealers ' platforms (website and mobile app), the Prestige Auction will feature a selection of more than 80 works, from classical to contemporary art, created by various renowned artists, about 40 in total.

Everyone, from the seasoned collector to the curious amateur, will find something to his or her liking since the works selected all have their own uniqueness and distinct style.

The exhibition

On Thursday, October 27th, starting at 6:00 p.m., there will be an exhibition party: a unique event with music, appetizers and wine, where it will of course be possible to see the works and enjoy them in person.

Each work will be highlighted, allowing visitors to admire its character and beauty.

Many guest artists will be on hand to meet and talk with you about their creative process including:

ADÈLE BLAIS

Her recognizable artistic signature and highly intuitive aesthetic universe, described by a New York critic as "neo pop happy", are greatly influenced by her childhood, where difference is encouraged and cultivated, where conventions do not exist, where gender, dress and activities are nothing like what happens in other families.

ANDRÉ DESJARDINS

To date, his portfolio includes more than 500 original paintings, fifty limited edition bronze sculptures and four monumental bronze sculptures. His recurring themes include the search for balance and tranquility, the duality between strength and fragility, solidarity, mutual aid and collective effort, and wholeness.

MATTHIEU BINETTE

Demonstrating great spontaneity in the treatment of matter and the manipulation of forms, he creates sculptures with a semi-figurative appearance, constructed by multiple additions and superimpositions of drops of molten bronze. Stripped of details and inspiring suppleness and movement, his silhouettes are strongly opposed to the rigid density of metal.

SARAH CLOUTIER

His paintings popularize the various social pressures and flows that shape our everyday behavior. It is through the use of accessible visual elements, such as the pictograms of public communication networks, as well as through the use of sociological concepts, that his work sometimes addresses ambiguity, sometimes certainty.

ETIENNE ST-AMANT

A master of science and professional artist in technological arts, he specializes in the design of large-scale works conceived and described in a mathematical language. He is the author of formulas and equations that translate into various artistic compositional tools. He is dedicated to conceptual research in generative art and artificial intelligence, as well as to the creation of contemporary artworks.

NICOLAS RUEL

Nicolas Ruel has traveled to over 100 countries to build up a large body of work, including the projects Cityscape, Civilization and Industrial. His futuristic vision reconfigures the layout of emblematic cities and pays homage to architectural splendors through a double exposure in camera technique.

The project supported

Proceeds from the 2022 Encan de prestige will be invested in the development of a mental health self-care platform.

The Equilia Project will provide easy and open access to cognitive behavioral therapy on the web. Programs will be designed to provide practical and effective strategies that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. It will provide a number of mental health support programs targeting anxiety and mood disorders, among others.

By participating in the Encan de prestige, you are making a concrete contribution to the accessibility of mental health care.

Thank you for your support!

From October 18 to November1, 2023, an art auction will be held to benefit CHUS Foundation.

The virtual auction, accessible on ByDealers platforms, will feature a selection of over seventy works, from classic to contemporary art.

On Wednesday, November1, the auction will conclude with an exhibition evening held at the Centre culturel de l'Université de Sherbrooke, from 5:30 to 9 pm.

During the evening, in addition to appetizers, wine and music provided by DJ Wax, several of the exhibited artists will be on hand to meet you and talk about their creative process.

Among them is painter Sarah Rahimaly, who will be creating a one-of-a-kind work on site, to be auctioned off exclusively to those in attendance.
