Sylvain CouillardBefore the big day, the players participate in a fitness evening under the supervision of the Sherbrooke Phoenix head coach. On the day of the challenge, all participants attend a Montreal Canadiens practice before heading to the Bell Centre to play the game of their lives! Afterwards, everyone meets at the Salon des anciens Canadiens for a cocktail. Dinner and the evening are held in the Superloge des Canadiens, where participants can also watch a Tricolore game.

On March 7, 2023, 32 amateur field hockey players from the region took part in the first Challenge de hockey Desjardins event, held on the ice of the Bell Centre. The event was held in collaboration with the Canadiens Children's Foundation and the Justin-Lefebvre Foundation.
