Since its creation, the seats for this evening on the boat have sold out quickly. So, for this anniversary edition, the CHUS Foundation decided to do things in a big way by welcoming more participants with two options: Land & Sea! Thus, in addition to the approximately 170 women who embarked on the Grand Cru, nearly a hundred others climbed to the top floor of the Kóz bistro in Magog.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Fonds de l'Espérance, a fund dedicated to providing financial support to families of children treated in neonatology, pediatrics and child psychiatry during the difficult period they are going through.
Car rental, overnight stay in a hotel, meals in the cafeteria, travel expenses, support for other children in the family; these are just a few examples of the help provided through this fund. Small nudges that lighten their daily lives, which are burdened by the disease.
The objective is to allow parents to have peace of mind and to be there, with their child, during these trying times.
Thanks to the generosity of the ladies and the numerous partners, including MD Financial Management — Scotiabank, Bank Scotiabank, Genesis Estrie, Promutuel Insurance Centre-Sud, TVA, Québecor Média, Escapades Memphrémagog and Kóz to name a few, to name a few, $125,000 will be donated to the Fund of Hope. This is a new record for the event!
